I have mixed feelings about a story in the news recently. Nevest Coleman recently got his job back as a grounds keeper with the Chicago White Sox after being wrongly imprisoned for 23 years for a rape and murder conviction.1 While I am very happy for Coleman that he was exonerated by DNA evidence; and I am happy he has back the job he loves and is getting on with his life; I am very angry that he was convicted…..
On March 22, 2015, I posted an article “Senator Uresti Needs a Criminal Background Check!”1 Texas Senate Bill 204, which was passed in 2013, required me to get fingerprinted for a criminal background check because I am a licensed professional engineer. These past few days, three notable people that I obviously did not know personally, but know about, passed away – Florence Henderson, Ron Glass, and Fidel Castro. I was really into the Brady Bunch when it originally aired.
