Dear Jonathan,
I saw a story by David Cawton of Time Warner Cable News on the Texas Religious Liberty Bills being proposed. Chris Wallace, President of Texas Association of Business, stated “Poll after Poll, survey after survey show that millennials do not want to be in a state that is unwelcoming of all people.” Conversely, you were defending the Texas Religious Liberty Bills.1
Jonathan, you need to know something about me. I volunteered at the San Antonio Pregnancy Care Center doing data entry for 15 years. And I have participated in life chain events. So I am as pro-life as they come. In 2005, I happily voted for Proposition 2, defining marriage as consisting of a man and a woman in the state of Texas. I myself have been married just one time and am still married after 24 years. I wrote a series of articles condemning the United States Supreme Court Decision on marriage. So I believe as much as anyone in traditional marriage. So when it comes to what you would call Texas values, I believe in Texas values.
But Jonathan, let’s be honest. When we are talking about Texas values, what are we really talking about? We are talking about biblical values. And this is what I have learned. You cannot expect people to have biblical values if they do not believe that Bible. And people that do not believe the Bible starting with Genesis, do not believe the Bible.
I do not know Chris Wallace personally. But I would not be surprised if Chris Wallace professes to be a Christian. And I would not be surprised if he thinks he is being a good Christian when he sees guaranteeing of religious liberty as being “unwelcoming of all people.” But I am quite certain he does not really believe the Bible. That is why Barrack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and even John Kasich just do not get it on this issue. When it comes down to it, they do not really believe the Bible. If they did, they would understand why a business owner would not want to participate in a same-sex “wedding.”
Here is my challenge to you. Groups like Texas Values, The Heritage Foundation, The Texas Eagle Forum, Concerned Women for American, Students for Life, and the American Family Association need to understand what the root problem is. People do not have biblical values because they do not believe the Bible. You need to partner with biblical creation organizations like the San Antonio Bible Based Science Association. We can do events with you where we do presentations. I have presentations where I specifically make the connections between Darwinism, eugenics, Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood and abortion, the Nazi Holocaust, and the Texas Freedom Network. You probably know that Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood is also founder of the Texas Freedom Network. And you may know that the Texas Freedom Network wants the General Theory of Evolution taught as fact, without question, in our public schools.2 And of course the Texas Freedom Network also supports the idea that a “marriage” can be between a man and a woman.3 And they most certainly have pro-life organizations such as Texas Alliance for Life on their list of “Far Right Organizations in Texas.”4 Is this a coincidence that such a pro-Darwinian organization takes these positions on these other issues? We can help you with all of this. Contact our organization at by sending an e-mail to info@sabbsa.org. Or you can send me an e-mail at eread2@satx.rr.com. We can help you.
I always include scripture in my articles. So the scripture that I think most helps people to understand what is going on is John 3:19-21 where Jesus said “And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.”5
Homosexual activists are going to fight against anyone that does not support their agenda because they do not want anyone taking the position that homosexuality is wrong. Christians who do not support their agenda are like a “light” that exposes their sin. And people who are not committed to a biblical world view because they do not believe the Bible will go along with the homosexual agenda. Of course we are all sinners. And God has provided us a savior. But in order to accept that we are sinners that need a savior, we have to believe the Bible. If we do not believe the Bible, we may end up letting millennials decide our values as Chris Wallace has.
